We absolutely love our live edge oak chopping board. It fits perfectly over the ice box on our kitchen island and is part of the kitchen in its own right. It's beautiful and the quality of craftsmanship is so evident. The Begat imprint enhances the board and the care instructions are even on a piece of wood 😁 I also love that this is made in Yorkshire, so supporting our British businesses.
The trouble is it's so beautiful I don't want to use it! We also ordered another one as a wedding gift which is personalised and I can't wait to give them it at the weekend. Kevin created a beautiful memorial keepsake for my husband and we couldn’t be happier with it. The craftsmanship is wonderful and the English oak is gorgeous, but what stood out most was the care and sensitivity he showed throughout. He took time to mock up the design and made the whole process feel very personal. A piece we will treasure always.
We visited a shop in Beverley where I saw & loved the beautiful turquoise & burr oak sculpture pot. My husband messaged Begat Woodwork and they were fantastic, sent my pot out straightaway in time for my birthday and included two fabulous coasters to match. Arrived safely and earlier than expected. Really great item, couldn't be happier with it, ticks all those boxes. Firstly not plastic, not a wood board stuck together with nasty glue. It's one solid piece of wood, and lovingly handcrafted which is so much nicer than mass produced.
