American Cherry nutmeg grinder (ref 109)

Handmade in the UK, this beautiful nutmeg grinder in American Cherry is an attractive and useful addition to any kitchen. Standing 90mm high with a base diameter of 60mm, it is fitted with solid stainless grinding mechanism.

This grinder is finished with 8 coats of water based polyurethane varnish, hand polished to a high gloss for a long lasting and very durable finish. Presented in a beautiful black gift box with magnetic catch. 

American Cherry (or black cherry) wood is highly prized for hardwood furniture due to its straight grain and beautiful reddish brown colour. Not to be confused with sweet cherry, a tree native to Europe and Asia that is the primary source of edible cherries. While the fruit of the black cherry is technically edible, the tree is utilized much more for its timber.

Fitted with professional quality, stainless steel mechanism that both slices and grates the nutmeg. Fitted with polished cranking handle and brushed stainless steel knob. The grinder claws are lifted by pulling up on the centre of the shaft against the integral spring, allowing a whole nutmeg to be inserted through the side access hole.
