Hand-turned in our UK workshop, this unique burr wood decorative vase captures the vibrant contrast between organic timber and modern design. Every hollow form begins as a raw, sustainably sourced piece of mappa burr. Prized by artisan woodturners for its dense, clustered figuring, this particular burr presented incredible natural voids. Rather than hiding these characterful gaps, they were carefully pressure-cast with a high-quality, translucent turquoise resin. The piece was then meticulously hand-turned on the lathe through a small opening to hollow out the centre, preserving the continuous flow of the grain on the outside. It is a true piece of hand-turned British wood art that honours both the material and the maker's process.

Craft & Materials

• Material: Sustainably sourced Mappa Burr wood and premium turquoise casting resin.

• Finish: Sanded to an incredibly smooth, tactile finish and sealed to protect the wood while enhancing the rich, vibrant colour of the resin.

• Process: Fully stabilised and pressure-cast to ensure a flawless, solid blend between the hybrid wood and resin.
